千萬豪宅推倒重建!?

今天重新回到工作,希望各位長週末過得愉快!前兩天看到一則新聞,西溫一近千萬加幣的豪宅近日掛牌上市並且很快就被一買家拿下。這幢俱有50年歷史,由知名設計師設計,在80,90年代一直是摩登建築代表的海濱別墅,維護好好的一幢俱有藝術價值的建築,本來可以至少再屹立50年,現在卻要被全部推倒,由新主人重新起造。不禁讓人汗顏!


這個例子比較極端,不過,這種花3,4百萬買個舊屋,推倒重蓋的現象在溫西,西溫還是比較普遍的,因為買家有能力花重金買下自己喜歡的土地,為甚麼不再多花點錢住進自己喜歡的房子呢?而且現在買家更加注重其經濟效益,舊派的房子土地大,房子並不大,主人更喜歡大的院子種些花花草草。而當今社會,人們生活節奏快,壓力大,一天工作下來更想在舒適的大房子裡輕鬆享受。因此,現代的房屋建造通常會最大化住房面積,以達到當代人的需要。


當然,有反對派從建築藝術的方面考量,認為舊屋如果還有壽命,推倒重建是一種極大浪費,應該在保留房子外觀的同時,在裏面進行現代化裝修。每個時代的舊房子都有其鮮明的時代特徵,不斷的推倒重建,將會使得建築的歷史特徵流逝。


我個人也是同意這種觀點,老建築絕對比現代的建築有味道,有歷史感,而在用料和質量上也是眾所週知的要更考究。不過當今的利益社會,會有多少人真的在乎這些呢?
